Services

Anesthesiology

The RMCHCS Department of Anesthesia provides a wide range of clinical anesthesia and pain management services for inpatient and outpatient settings, including the operating room, post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), emergency department, ACU, and Labor & Delivery.

A board-certified anesthesiologist and certified nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) are integral to the RMCHCS surgical team, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients requiring anesthetic services. They collaborate closely with surgical teams to address issues during surgery and recovery. Pre- and post-surgical consultations are conducted to explain procedures and potential side effects.

Cardiopulmonary

The Cardiopulmonary Department at RMCHCS provides a full range of services, including respiratory therapy, pulmonary care, cardiology, cardiac rehabilitation, and sleep studies, all conveniently located on the second floor.

Cardiology: On-site cardiologists offer consultations, follow-ups, stress testing, EKG, and Holter monitoring. Pediatric cardiology services are available by referral.

Respiratory Therapy: Licensed therapists assist with chronic breathing issues like asthma or COPD and provide education on managing these conditions. Specialized neonatal pediatric respiratory care is also available.

Radiology

The RMCHCS Diagnostic Imaging Department offers advanced imaging technology and services comparable to large urban centers with reduced travel time and cost. Radiologists and certified technologists are available 24/7.

Acute Care UNIT

Located on the third floor, the RMCHCS ACU provides expert care for critically ill patients. Equipped with private rooms and a centralized monitoring system, the ACU team ensures around-the-clock support.

The unit features state-of-the-art equipment and a multidisciplinary team of hospitalists, nurses, and case managers, delivering personalized care.

MEDICAL/SURGICAL

The RMCHCS Medical/Surgical Unit is an 18-bed facility designed to provide compassionate and expert care for patients with a wide range of acute medical conditions. The unit is staffed with a multidisciplinary team of highly skilled hospitalists, nurses, patient care technicians (PCTs), and case managers, all working together to deliver round-the-clock, individualized care for patients of all ages.

The unit is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including a centralized monitoring system that allows continuous observation of patients’ vital signs from the nurses’ station. This ensures a higher level of safety and immediate response to any changes in a patient’s condition.

Respiratory Care

The RMCHCS Respiratory Therapy Department provides comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services to support the diagnosis and management of pulmonary disorders. Licensed respiratory therapists assist patients with breathing difficulties caused by chronic respiratory conditions such as asthma or emphysema.

They conduct lung function tests to help diagnose conditions and educate patients on effective strategies to manage asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other breathing disorders. The department collaborates closely with cardiology, pulmonology, and sleep medicine providers to deliver coordinated and optimal care. A certified neonatal and pediatric respiratory specialist, accredited by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Heart Association, is also part of the team.
