Job Title: Ultrasound/Echo Tech $10K Sign-on-Bonus & Relocation- Day

Job Summary:

Position Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Director of Diagnostic Imaging, the Ultrasound/ECHO Technologist performs diagnostic cardiac/general/OB and vascular ultrasound examinations upon physician order on adult, geriatric and pediatric patient populations according to established standards and practices. However, NO Pediatric ECHO’s will be performed due to the lack of interpretation abilities of the Cardiologist. The Ultrasound/ECHO Technologist will also perform chemical and exercise stress test imaging and assist physicians with TEE procedures. Demonstrates quality and effectiveness in work ethics and clinical practice. The Ultrasound/ECHO Technologist is responsible for completing all duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Basic Qualifications: Education: * Graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound Program and/or equivalent on-the-job training and/or from an AMA Radiology Technology Program required. * Specified training in Adult/ECHO Ultrasound methods and procedures is required. Experience: * Minimum of two (2) years’ full-time clinical experience in cardiac, general, OB and vascular ultrasound required. Licensure & Certifications: * Current verification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required. (If BLS verification is not current upon hire must be obtained within three (3) months of hire.) * Will be given up to two years to obtain New Mexico State Imaging License if not current upon hire. In order to obtain a New Mexico State Imaging License the ECHO Sonographer must hold a current certificate in either ARDMS, RVT, CCT and/or ARRT or be working towards one.
