The mission of RMCHCS is to serve God by making a profound and lasting difference in the health and quality of life for all people in the community.

COMPLIANCE

The RMCHCS Corporate Compliance Program is designed to ensure that RMCHCS conducts its operations with integrity, adhering to all federal, state, and local laws, as well as regulatory requirements. RMCHCS upholds the belief that true compliance means “doing what is right, not just what is required,” linking ethical practices to high standards of healthcare quality.

Key Components of the RMCHCS Compliance Program

  • RMCHCS has established a Board-approved Code of Conduct, with a commitment to uphold rigorous compliance standards endorsed by the Board of Trustees and senior leadership.
  • All employees and independent contractors undergo background checks to verify they have no criminal convictions or government exclusion status, which would disqualify them from ordering Medicare-covered services.
  • RMCHCS has allocated dedicated resources to effectively oversee and administer the Compliance Program.
  • Comprehensive training programs are provided to all employees, covering Medicare requirements and updates to relevant federal and state laws.
  • RMCHCS maintains a confidential hotline for reporting concerns, ensuring anonymity for complainants and protection against retaliation for whistleblowers.
  • Ongoing monitoring and auditing verify employees’ understanding of compliance topics, with follow-up training and a confidential reporting line available to support compliance efforts. Employees are encouraged to report suspected misconduct to their supervisor or the compliance officer.
  • RMCHCS enforces a clear disciplinary policy for violations of laws or policies, which is communicated to all employees.
  • Upon verification of non-compliance, RMCHCS implements corrective actions, which include Medicare reimbursements, employee discipline, or updates to policies and procedures as necessary.
