RMCHCS understands the healthcare needs of women and takes a personal interest in preventative health care throughout their lifetime. The Women’s Health Unit is adequately staffed and poised to take excellent care of all women in the community who needs our services.
Labor & Delivery
Our Labor and Delivery unit combines a home-like atmosphere with advanced technology to ensure expectant mothers feel comfortable and safe. Certified, highly skilled nurses provide expert prenatal and infant care, supporting new moms and their babies to promote a healthy start together.
Postpartum Care
After delivery, mothers transition to our postpartum section, where a dedicated team of trained postpartum nurses provides compassionate care to support recovery and bonding with their newborn.
Lactation
RMCHCS is proud to support breastfeeding mothers. Our certified lactation consultants and postpartum nurses are available to guide new moms through the challenges of breastfeeding, ensuring they feel confident and at ease.
To foster the bonding process, mothers are encouraged to keep their babies in-room throughout their stay.
Childbirth Education Classes - Temporarily Closed
Our monthly Childbirth Education classes are designed to help families prepare for childbirth. These four-hour sessions are typically held on Saturdays and completed in a single day. For more information or to register when classes resume, contact the Women’s Health Unit at 505-863-7026.
