Dr. John H. York is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He specializes in general orthopedics with a focus on total joint replacement. He brings extensive expertise in knee, shoulder, and hip arthroscopy and provides comprehensive care for patients with joint and soft tissue conditions.
In addition to his proficiency in joint surgeries, Dr. York is highly experienced in managing orthopedic emergencies and trauma cases. He is skilled in fracture care and offers precise and compassionate treatment to ensure optimal recovery for his patients.
Dr. Carlos J. Rodriguez is a highly skilled and compassionate podiatrist specializing in trauma, wound care, and limb salvage, focusing on treating conditions related to diabetes. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry from Florida International University, where he also pursued a certificate in film studies. Dr. Rodriguez later earned a Master’s in Biomedical Sciences from Barry University, where he served as a laboratory instructor and adjunct faculty.
In 2010, Dr. Rodriguez decided to follow his passion for podiatric medicine and enrolled in Barry University’s Podiatric Medicine program. After earning his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine, he completed a rigorous three-year residency at Kendall Regional Medical Center, finishing his post-graduate training in 2017.
Dr. Rodriguez is board-certified in podiatric medicine and surgery, with additional credentials in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. He has since practiced in various settings, including working alongside his father, a family physician in Miami, FL, and most recently in Bakersfield, CA. He is committed to providing high-quality care and making a meaningful difference in the lives of his patients, one step at a time.
Dr. Brent A. Munroe is a distinguished orthopedic spine surgeon with extensive training and expertise in treating complex spinal conditions. He is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and completed his spine surgery fellowship at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital and his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson and Phoenix. His comprehensive training also included a general surgery internship at Howard University Hospital.
Dr. Munroe’s professional experience spans leading roles in academic and clinical settings. He has served as a faculty member in orthopedic surgery residency programs, a spine surgeon at renowned medical institutions, and a contributor to significant research in spinal surgery. His scholarly work includes multiple publications and presentations at global conferences, demonstrating his commitment to advancing the field of orthopedic spine surgery.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Munroe is deeply committed to community service. He has volunteered for medical mission trips, mentored youth, and supported underserved populations through health education and care. His holistic approach to patient care combines advanced medical expertise with a compassionate focus on improving quality of life.
Dr. Christopher Hoover is a highly trained urologist specializing in diagnosing and treating urological conditions. A native of Chicago, IL, Dr. Hoover earned his medical degree at Rush University and completed his urology residency at Boston Medical Center. He pursued advanced fellowship training in voiding dysfunction and laser prostate surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA.
Board-certified by the American Board of Urology, Dr. Hoover is an expert in a wide range of urological conditions, including male and female voiding dysfunction, kidney stones and kidney stone surgery, BPH, laser prostate surgery, erectile dysfunction, vasectomy, and cancers of the prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicles. Many urological procedures, such as cystoscopy, vasectomy, urodynamics, and treatments for overactive bladder, are conveniently performed in-office by Dr. Hoover.
Having moved to Gallup in 2017, Dr. Hoover and his family proudly call New Mexico home. Following a recent sabbatical to care for his daughters, he is thrilled to rejoin the RMCHCS family, where he continues to provide compassionate and expert urological care. Dr. Hoover believes in fostering open communication, honesty, and compassion in his approach to patient care.
Dr. Charles J.S. Guimaraes is a skilled general surgeon with extensive expertise in a wide range of surgical procedures, including colonoscopy, appendectomy, breast biopsy and lumpectomy, skin lesion biopsy, exploratory laparotomy, abdominal wall hernia repair, and modified radical mastectomy. His surgical specialties also encompass advanced treatments such as EGD, hemorrhoidectomy, anal fissure and fistula repairs, perirectal abscess management, pilonidal cyst procedures, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, catheter placement, dialysis access, and more.
Dr. Guimaraes is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered surgical care. With his comprehensive approach and advanced skills, he is dedicated to addressing the unique needs of each patient he serves.
Dr. Kimberly Collins is a highly skilled general surgeon who specializes in advanced laparoscopic surgery, breast surgery, EGD, endoscopy, and open laparoscopic resection. Board-certified in general surgery, she provides expert care tailored to her patients’ needs.
With extensive experience in minimally invasive and traditional surgical techniques, Dr. Collins is dedicated to delivering precise and compassionate care. Her commitment to excellence makes her a valued medical team member at RMCHCS Hospital.
Dr. Letitia Bradford is a highly accomplished Orthopedic Surgeon, board-certified, and a distinguished fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education with the highest honors from the University of California, Berkeley. She completed her medical degree, surgical internship, and Orthopedic Surgery residency at the University of California, San Francisco. During her residency, she conducted groundbreaking mechanical engineering research, earning multiple awards and publishing several scientific papers in joint replacement surgery.
Dr. Bradford has dedicated much of her career to serving underserved areas nationwide, with recent assignments in Clarksdale, MS, and Gallup, NM. Previously, she spent a decade as a General Orthopedic Surgeon at George Mee Memorial Hospital, a rural hospital in California. She is also a Community Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine.
Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Bradford is a trailblazer advancing diversity and inclusion in medicine. She is a founding member of the Artemis Medical Society, a networking organization for African-American female physicians. She has chaired the Orthopedic Surgery Section of the National Medical Association for six years. As the Executive Director of Nth Dimensions, Dr. Bradford leads efforts to improve healthcare in underserved communities by mentoring and increasing diversity in competitive medical fields such as Orthopedic Surgery, Radiology, and Dermatology.
