Position Summary:
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Technician performs work of routine difficulty and provides care for the multicultural neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. This is accomplished through criteria outlined on the core competency evaluation form. It is also the responsibility of the Patient Care Technician to collect data, provide comfort measures, assist with splinting, enters laboratory and radiology requests into the computer, and completes duties consistent with secretarial duties of the Intensive Care Unit.
